2.1 Information you provide directly

• Account information: name, email address, mobile number, password (hashed)
• Birth details: full name, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth — used solely for generating your Vedic Kundli and reports
• Profile information: profile photo, gender, language preferences
• Family charts: birth details of family members or partners you save in your account
• Payment information: processed by certified payment gateways; we never store full card numbers or CVV codes
• Communications: messages, voice/video consultation recordings (only with your consent), customer support tickets

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device information: device model, OS version, app version, unique device identifiers
• Usage data: screens viewed, features used, time spent, crash logs
• Location data: approximate location (city-level) for accurate Kundli computation; we do not track GPS continuously
• Network information: IP address, internet service provider, connection type

2.3 Information from astrologers

If you are a registered astrologer on our platform, we additionally collect KYC documents (PAN, Aadhaar, address proof), bank account details for payouts, professional certifications, and consultation history.

3. How we use your information

We use your data exclusively for:

• Generating your Vedic Kundli, divisional charts, and 16 specialist reports
• Connecting you with verified astrologers for consultations
• Processing payments and managing your wallet
• Providing customer support and responding to inquiries
• Improving our services through anonymized analytics
• Sending transactional notifications (booking confirmations, payment receipts)
• Sending promotional communications (only with explicit opt-in)
• Detecting fraud, abuse, and security threats
• Complying with legal obligations under Indian law

4. Information sharing & disclosure

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• With astrologers you consult: the astrologer you book sees only the chart and information necessary for that consultation
• With service providers: payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe), cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud), real-time communication (Agora), and analytics (anonymized)
• For legal compliance: when required by law, court order, or government request under Indian jurisdiction
• For security: to investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, or threats to safety
• Business transfers: in case of merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with continued protection of your data

5. Cookies & tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience, remember preferences, and analyze traffic. You can control cookies via your browser settings. Our mobile apps use device identifiers for analytics and crash reporting, which can be disabled in app settings.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion:

• Financial records: retained for 7 years per Indian tax law (Income Tax Act, GST)
• Anonymized analytics: may be retained indefinitely (no personal identifiers)

8. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023 and applicable international laws (GDPR for EU users), you have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correction: update inaccurate or outdated information
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data

Nakshtralogy is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Parents may generate Kundlis for children under their own account, but minor users cannot independently register or consult astrologers. If we discover that a minor has created an account, we will delete it immediately.

10. International data transfers

Our primary servers are located in India. If you access Nakshtralogy from outside India, your data may be transferred to and processed in India under our standard security protections. We comply with cross-border data transfer requirements under DPDP and GDPR.

11. Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via:

• In-app notification
• Email to your registered address
• Updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page

Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
