Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Nakshtralogy mobile applications, websites, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by Paramvasu, registered in India. References to "we", "us", and "our" refer to Paramvasu and its Nakshtralogy platform.

2. User accounts & responsibilities

2.1 Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to register
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access

2.2 Account responsibilities

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.

3. Astrologer onboarding

If you register as an astrologer on our platform:

• You must provide valid credentials (Vedic astrology certifications, ID proof, address proof, PAN/Aadhaar)
• You must pass our verification process (typically 48 hours)
• You agree to consult ethically — no fearmongering, no false promises, no predatory upselling
• You are an independent service provider, not an employee of Nakshtralogy
• You set your own per-minute rates within platform guidelines
• You receive 80% of consultation fees; Nakshtralogy retains 20% as platform fee
• You agree to maintain professional conduct, language, and demeanor in all consultations
• Repeated complaints, low ratings, or verified misconduct may result in account suspension
• You are responsible for your own income tax compliance

4. Payment terms

4.1 For users

• Consultations are billed per minute; rates are visible before starting
• Payments processed through certified gateways (Razorpay, Stripe, etc.)
• Wallet recharges and consultation fees are subject to our Refund Policy
• Applicable GST is included in displayed prices for Indian users

4.2 For astrologers

• Earnings settle weekly to your registered bank account
• Minimum payout threshold: ₹500
• TDS deducted as per Indian Income Tax Act
• Detailed earnings statements provided monthly

5. Content & ownership

5.1 Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (chart data, profile, messages). By submitting, you grant Nakshtralogy a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and process this content solely for providing the Service.

5.2 Our content

All Nakshtralogy app code, design, branding, AI-generated reports, and proprietary algorithms are owned by Paramvasu. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer our software or content.

5.3 Astrologer-generated content

Insights provided by astrologers during consultations belong to the astrologer. Nakshtralogy retains a license to record (with consent), store, and reference these for quality assurance and dispute resolution.

6. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
• Impersonate another person or astrologer
• Solicit consultations off-platform to bypass platform fees
• Share account credentials with others
• Use automated bots, scrapers, or other unauthorized access methods
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Harass, threaten, or abuse astrologers or other users
• Use the Service for fraud, money laundering, or financial misconduct
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our AI models or algorithms
• Engage in chargeback fraud (initiating chargebacks for legitimate services)
• Astrologers: make medical, legal, or financial advice claims they are not qualified to make
• Astrologers: predict death, terminal illness, or severe trauma in alarmist ways

7. Disclaimer

• Astrology consultations are for guidance and entertainment purposes
• Predictions and insights are interpretations, not guaranteed outcomes
• The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
• Nakshtralogy does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation
• Confidence scores indicate analytical reliability, not predictive certainty
• For medical, legal, or financial matters, consult licensed professionals

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nakshtralogy and Paramvasu shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill
• Damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months
• Decisions you make based on astrological consultations
• Disputes between users and astrologers
• Service interruptions due to force majeure (natural disasters, internet outages, etc.)

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nakshtralogy, Paramvasu, and their affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any law or third-party rights
• Your use of the Service
• Content you submit or share through the Service

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you:

• Violate these Terms or applicable laws
• Engage in fraudulent or harmful behavior
• Attempt to bypass platform fees or systems
• Receive multiple verified complaints (for astrologers)

You may also terminate your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. Upon termination, your data is handled per our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

For consumer disputes:

• You may approach the Indian Consumer Forum or the National Consumer Helpline (1800-11-4000)
• Disputes should first be raised through our internal grievance process per our Refund Policy
• Arbitration may be chosen by mutual agreement under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
